Whether you move here or are just visiting, you'll find the people and atmosphere of Twisp very pleasant and full of good energy. We have a population of approximately 1,000 year-around residents, and our sense of togetherness and community helps to provide a safe environment for children as well as a rewarding place to live. There are a number of schools here in the Methow Valley including Methow Valley Elementary School, the non-profit Community School, Liberty Bell Jr.-Sr. High School, as well as Montessori and alternative schools. We
are also very proud to have a beautiful city park, including the Wagner
Memorial Pool, which is open to the public and offers swimming lessons
during the summer months. You can also find an exercise trail, basketball
court, band shell and picnic facilities at the park. Our Community Center offers excellent facilities for our residents and visitors, alike, with a gymnasium, rummage room and public library, where you can check out books as well as videos. The Community Center is also home to the Twisp Visitor Information Center. We have a full-time police department, a volunteer fire department, medical facilities in town, several local doctors and vets, and an impressive list of professional services including everything from legal services to drilling.
